It is Daventry Town. Other than the Northampton X1 game the only other friendly I am aware of at the moment is a home game against Hellenic League Abingdon Town (and I have got the correct Abingdon!) on Tuesday August 2nd.

the club reeks of apathy, and if that statement is not true, thats the way it seems. It is obvious that the people who post on the forum and the Board who I know are working hard are not apathetic. It is very difficult to get businessess on board or supporters interested again. That is where the apathy lies. On the question of getting more supporters look how much it cost to put out a team that generated higher support, the club are still paying for that excess. With hindsight (a wonderful thing) I would back Billy to have used the money better but who knows?. Let's all try and sell the Puritan scheme to people / businesses we know. These schemes have worked well for other clubs/sports in the past.

Is it possible that Billy or someone from the committee could make some sort of statement regarding the player departures ? It is very worrying to see all of our better players departing. Is it all down to money ?

Two of the players are moving up to the Conference which is progress for them and we wish them well. That's not really an answer Nigel. As supporters we would be very interested in any news you could give us on comings and goings. I wish all our departing players well, but would like to know why they are leaving, and who is going to replace them.

Thats the only answer I can give you ! the football side is Billy's department and give the guy a chance one day back from holiday ! us board members are pedaling like mad !! working on sponsorship matters, and trying to get the ground ready for the 14 th July etc etc

I wish all our departing players well, but would like to know why they are leaving, and who is going to replace them. With all due respect, I think that if you stopped and actually thought about your post that you would agree that it is a totally unreasonable (putting it politely !) request - have you not heard of Employment Law, Employee Confidentiality rulings etc. I suppose your next request might be for a spreadsheet detailing payments to each player for match apprearance, goals, travelling expenses etc. No other Club in the country would tell their fans the reason why every player who has left their Club. You may occasionally get a "due to work commitments" or a "to be nearer home due to the travelling" but that's all ! Players come and go for various reasons, being told of any movement in or out is the max that any fans should expect to receive. Any announcements identifying targets would be sheer lunacy - a fan should only receive "confirmation not speculation" from the Club when a signing is completed Hope that helps !

That's rubbish didier, the world and his cat(or all last years squad) know the budget is in danger of being slashed.Players can see no investment and no wage increases next season so have acted accordingly.Don't take us all for idiots.
