I see Mike Ford has announced through the Oxford City official website that Adam Learoyd and Declan Benjamin have both agreed to play for Oxford CIty next season. He says signed but I assume that is in principle unless they have been put on contract.
But not a good start to the summer comings and goings!

No surprise as the club has gone very quiet. No news in the BG about our puritan scheme, have we sold any tickets...you wont find out on here. No wonder players are jumping ship, every one else is announcing friendlies,we've got one. the club reeks of apathy, and if that statement is not true, thats the way it seems.

Oxford City appear to have money again, so it's no surprise that once again they've tempted our better players. Without gaining BJ's permission, Adam Learoyd played twice for Wantage in their Hellenic championship-winning week i.e. the Tuesday and Thursday before Banbury's games against Truro and Brackley. BJ not amused.
Daventry are also throwing money around and are waving it at Delroy Gordon (so my mole tells me).

That's very concerning news, lets hope Billy can find players of equal ability to replace them!?!?

Certainly no apathy from the board, we are working our butts off in selling the Puritan Patron Scheme. We all have spent several hours of own time to promote the scheme and it will continue, we will have a big publicity push at the end of the month.

Never mind, we have to thank the players for their efforts and move on. You only want players who value and respect the shirt and be at your football club. BJ will obviously find other players from levels 8 & 9 to bring on and establish themselves. Players who leave, obviously don't want to be with us. That's the bottom line and what's the point of having players who don't be there?

Corby Town have announced that they have signed Delroy. It is all over the clubs website. We need some quality replacements fast or we will be in trouble.

This is ridiculous, when's the draw for the sponsorship deal,if we're doing a big publicity push at the end of the month well that's frankly ridiculous. How can billy work on persuading players too stay(bit late for that) and bring/entice players in when the draw and potential budget are not going to be available till early july. We've lost 2 centre halves and arguablly our best midfielder too teams who are on the ball,we're destined to play the first half of the season catching up,and wouldn't be suprised if Billy called it a day.Come on give us a clue what's happening.

The three of them played vitually every game last season, how are we going to replace them? Milner out of retirement again?! I think we may have to play half of the reserves from last season but are they good enough to step up? - Maybe one or two but not half a side or more.

Stone is talking about signing for "Maybe chippenham or cirencester" on facebook, are we going to have any players?? Billy really is going to have to pull the rabbit out of the hat if we going to have a team which can compete next season and as Yogi says that's if he wants to stay on.

Do some of you honestly think that the Club are sat on their arses doing nothing in preparation for 2011-12 ?
Footballers have holidays
Clubs with money and targets make their move as soon as they can
In the Football League for instance, footballers' contracts run to 30th June and unless they're bought by another Club, they and their agents line themselves up whilst still being paid by the Club that they're contracted to.
Billy has shown that he can make moves in the marketplace, he undeniably has a smaller budget than a lot of other Managers but I'd trust him to do the best for Banbury United
In the meantime, make sure all employers are force fed the new sponsorship details !!!

What I'm saying is that all the news at the moment is that players are leaving and there isn't any news of anyone coming in, with players being signed up now it's obviously going to get harder for Billy to get the players he would like to sign. I'm not saying the club is doing nothing but I'd imagine most supporters would want to know why three of our best players from the last couple of seasons have gone.
