Well a game to forget, the only thing worth playing for was local bragging rights which BTFC won comfortably.Had there been more riding on the game then perhaps we may have turned up. First half was pretty even with neither side gaining the upper hand but second half Brackley came out with more intent.Mr Coggins the ref was up to his normal inconsistent standard which culminated in giving us free kicks for which only he knows why,we did have a good shout for a penalty for handball just before they took the lead but that was about it. Still you have to say job done on a tight budget and we live to fight another day in the premier division Wonder if Mr Leighton is going to dip his hand in his pocket next season to fund a bunch of money grabbing charlies.

Took the p*** all afternoon and some of their fans could'nt take it!! ;D,great send off for Billy and the Boys from the travelling faithful!!!,in contrast to the lack of anything from the very small home support for their team!!! ,when will Leighton learn his lesson and stop throwing his money away on a pointless cause!!, looking forward to playing them next season as the rivalry is getting more intense!!!, their fans really do not have a clue what to do when confronted with real fans!!

Great support today, it's a shame it's not always like that, we did the boys proud today, shame we couldn't end with a win

We never looked like scoring. Shame we lost, but we certainly didn't deserve to win. Great support from Banbury fans, but a woeful turnout from Brackley. Next season could be a real struggle, but at least we are still alive and kicking ! !

A great send off for Billy as with no sponsor or budget he wont fancy being the whipping boys next season and will depart As for real supporters more like foul mouth yobs who turned up at 2.40pm in the clubhouse that was full of families - as one Banbury supporter commented to me" they are an embarrasment to the genuine Banbury Supporters". Yeah bring your team on next season - can wait to beat you again

as opposed to having a massive budget and getting nowhere ! Bite, bite, bite.... 2-0 !!! Pity you aint so worried about your own budget as opposed to ours, you being the bigger club and having the wonderful supporters and get bigger crowds...etc.... Don't make me laugh.

Roger makes a serious point amongst the rather childish exchanges above. There were plenty of complaints from Banbury supporters as well about some of the chanting today. Totally unnecessary and in stark contrast to the early days of Banbury's return to the SL when a good number of clubs in the Eastern division commented favourably on the travelling support.
Some of the Town End regulars should know better and set an example to some of the newer and younger supporters. No one wants the club bracketed with the likes of Nuneaton and Grantham at their worst.

Totally agree with Steve , some of the chanting was not acceptable, a small number of fans are giving the club a bad reputation. We were very lucky not to get reported for the outburst in the clubhouse in front of several families .

What a sad existence you have if all you have to worry about is where it went wrong for Brackley - get over it and start worrying about the future of your own club. No sponsor, no cash, and 12 months left on the ground lease and no sign of a new ground being built.....seems to me you have a lot more to worry about than what Brackley are doing.

Many of rogerthecabinboy assumptions are incorrect, I hope this might be Roger and out !! Well that is good to hear Nigel Though most of the issues raised by rogerthecabinboy are indeed what a lot of our supporters believe. Perhaps then a lot of concerns would be addressed if the Board were able to openly communicate the real situation on these issues to our supporters?
