Well all I can say is if we had been awarded the cast iron penalty in added time and won the game it would have been totally undeserved. What a dire second half,it was just as well the opposition were as poor. The only saving grace is that we stopped the home loss form but god only knows how. Overall a very very poor game.

Very poor second half from us,cast iron penalty, god knows why the linesman never gave it?. Off the field the situation still has not been clarified, this needs to happen soon as the fans will only get more restless.

Played ok in first half but they had far more of play in 2nd and couldn't argue when they equalised, Agree it was a clear penalty but why did we only show urgency when they scored?
Any idea why Kynan went off. The sub Oboto was poorer than anyone else we have fielded this season, I know there were injuries but must be better players in the reserves.

You have to laugh - we have used 60+ players this season and we have just two fit subs today.
Otobo scored a hat-trick on this debut for Histon earlier this season. I think that is his claim to fame - and that he has had more clubs than Leon Simpson.

Shadders: "Otobo scored a hat-trick on his debut for Histon earlier this season."
Hmm. The only goals he scored in seven appearances. It was in the FA Cup away to Eastwood, currently bottom of NPL Premier (Banbury's level) having conceded 95 in 32 matches.
Not impressed!

A challenge to members: name a forward as, er, ineffective – always supposing that anyone named might be remembered!
Here's a couple of starters:- 88-89 Frankie Magnacavello. Made four starts in consecutive matches, then sat out the next three on the bench before disappearing. Ran around a lot.
89-90 Richard Brade. Thirteen starts scattered throughout the second half of the relegation season. Wore 9 and 10 shirts but spent much of his time on the wings, avoiding centre-halves.
Frankie was immediately followed by the impressive Kenny Clarke, a stylish and effective centre-forward. Tall, strong and skilful, it was hard to imagine a greater contrast to the diminutive Frankie. Sadly, after 7 goals in 11 games, he returned to Witney from whence he came (to be frank, I don't know how we managed to capture him in the first place).

I want to know the recruitment/signing policy for these players cause there being taken on spec, shown up to be poor and disappear..and you want to pay £9 for that...

notice Bedworth have admitted on their official site that we have a seven dayer in for Ben Polk - the seven days up today. Guess it is now in the open. Perhaps that is why Farmer had him on the bench - worried head might not be right? Anyway he is the midfielder referred to in the preview of the game I did for the website. And yes the sub today was the centre forward with Conference North experience I referred to.

Another poor 2nd half home performance. It would appear that leading at HT leads to something not correct in management style in changing room.
Nailed on pen but they deserved a draw. Surprised no mention of GK. Fair game until goal but it was his side and he never bloody moved!!!
What I saw at final whistle was Mr Kemp getting a Spanish Archer from his own player as he tried to break up a face 2 face between opposing players. Not sure any official saw that either! Then some minutes after game Polky n Farmer not seeing eye 2 eye outside changing rooms ... Hopefully more to come from that as Polk behind Hopkins would work for me.
In summary there was more to be seen after 5pm than before it!

Stephen,. Kynan was taken off due to a back injury which he had got before kick off. Tried to play with it but was to painfull so decision was to replace him. Other injurynews Marvin a kick to the ankle and was restricting movement so was replaced. Hopkins got a dead leg and was struggling near the end. And Nabil not 100 per cent fit could have done a job but was better to give him a few more days . Hope that helps. Malc
