Great result. Still can't believe the assistant referee gave their second goal as being over the line was he the linesman at Truro a few years back?,the goal that never was!,also wondered what had happened to the Oxford City "screecher"?. ;D

How on earth the linesman could have given that is beyond belief, just as well the final score did'nt depend on it,just looking at the body language of the player's did'nt suggest it had gone over, even the Totton player on the goal line did'nt appeal.

Did Banbury's first goal follow a one-legged throw-in?

The only person that saw their second goal was the linesman. The Totton players didn`t appeal and the Totton supporters behind the goal said that the ball never crossed the line. We were told by some school kids, stood behind the Totton goal with us, to check it out on Youtube and that the video would prove that the ball had crossed the line but as far as I can see it just backs up what everyone was saying and that was that Warren had collected the ball in front of him and brought it into his body. There was no way the ball could have crossed the line. Silly booking for Warren though after he kicked the ball out of the ground following the decision to award the goal. After going 2 down so early we all thought that it was going to be one of those days but all credit to the team. With no Nabil or Adeyinka to call upon they did well to respond and they never gave up to the final whistle. A big help though was the pitch which was quite firm allowing us to pass the ball around rather than use route one stuff down the middle and the fact that 19 year old Ross Casey was in goal for them rather than regular `keeper Gareth Barfoot. He made some good saves to keep them in the game but pressure told in the end and we scored some quality goals.

Did Banbury's first goal follow a one-legged throw-in? You can hear the comment on the video that the supporters in the stand felt it was a foul throw. In fact in the second half we were pulled up by the referee for a foul throw. Cannot say if it was the same player though.

Third goal was a nice one. Their second was doubtful at best. Thanks for the link Steve T.
